Spirituality in Religion and Culture

An International Symposium of IFIS & IZ on “Spirituality in Religion and Culture” was successfully accomplished. IFIS & IZ invited over 40 international renowned scientists and experts to debate the topic of “Spirituality in Religion and Culture”. The mayor of Mannheim, Dr. Peter Kurz, accepted the patronage for the symposium. The symposium marked a prelude to the institute’s work.

On the 2nd February, the Institution for Islamic Studies and Intercultural Cooperation (IFIS&IZ) and the House of Culture for European Muslims (KUDEM) hosted a photography exhibition entitled: “Islamic Life in Europe – People and Architecture.”

Salafism in Germany: Background, Impact and Prevention

The Institute for Islamic Studies and Intercultural Cooperation (IFIS&IZ) hosted in cooperation with the municipality of Mannheim and the support of the Culture House of European Muslims (KUDEM) a scientific conference on “Salafism in Germany: Background, Impact and Prevention.” Over 150 visitors from different regions of Germany attended the conference, where renowned experts and scholars shared their latest research.

Religion and Finance in Germany

On Friday, 4th May 2018 the IFIS&IZ hosted an international conference on “Religion and Finance in Germany.” Prestigious scholars in economics, representatives from banking sectors and lawyers, experts in business ethics, and entrepreneurs debated the impact of religious belief systems on modern economies.
